The same is true for some SQL Server products that will be dropped from support in July.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>End of Life means that although the product can still be used (it still works), it will not receive any updates from Microsoft. It has reached the end of its life at Microsoft and is no longer supported.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Windows Embedded: Support for Windows Embedded Standard 2009 expired on January 10, 2019. Support for Windows Embedded POSReady 2009 expires on April 9, 2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.technet.microsoft.com\/tip_of_the_day\/2019\/04\/02\/tip-of-the-day-windows-embedded-2009-is-also-reaching-eos-soon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">see<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Windows 10 Version 1607: Microsoft cuts support on April 9, 2019, when Windows 10 Version 1607 Enterprise and Enterprise Education receive the latest security updates (<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.technet.microsoft.com\/tip_of_the_day\/2019\/04\/01\/tip-of-the-day-windows-10-version-1607-is-coming-up-on-eos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">see<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Windows 10 Version 1709: Microsoft cuts support on April 9, 2019, when Windows 10 Home and Pro receive the latest security updates (<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20190421155216\/https:\/\/news.softpedia.com\/news\/microsoft-to-retire-windows-10-version-1709-home-and-pro-next-week-525572.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">see<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Only systems with Clover Trail CPUs should receive updates until 2023 (see <a href=\"https:\/\/borncity.com\/win\/2017\/07\/21\/windows-10-support-for-clover-trail-machines-till-2023\/\">Windows 10 support for Clover Trail machines till 2023<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Support for SQL Server 2008\/2008 R2 will end on July 9, 2019, while support for Windows Server 2008\/2008 R2 will end on January 14, 2020 (with Windows 7 support) (<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20190903205029\/https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/cloud-platform\/windows-sql-server-2008\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">see<\/a>).
