The developers announced this in a blog post<\/a> this week. The post mentions two so-called experiments that the developers want to perform. These are intended to prevent websites from sending spam with push notifications. These push notifications are displayed when a website is visited..<\/p>\n The first experiment, which runs from 1 April to 29 April, will prevent websites from displaying prompts when visiting web pages, unless the user interacts with the site. Mozilla has divided the experiment into two parts, the first of which runs for the first two weeks and prevents websites from displaying the notification prompts. <\/p>\n Prototype of new prompt without user interaction <\/p>\n During the last two weeks Mozilla will add an animation icon to the address bar (see picture above).
