Here's some information about this update.

Last Thursday in April 2019 Microsoft released a number of optional updates for Windows 10 (see Windows 10: Optional Updates (April 25, 2019)). But update KB4501835 for Windows 10 V1809 was missing.

Notes to this update

For a list of updates, visit this Microsoft Web page. I've derived some details below. The update installation requires an existing current Servicing Stack Updates (SSUs). If this SSU is missing, installation errors may occur. If a cumulative update is obtained via Windows Update, Windows 10 should automatically download and install the appropriate SSU.

Update KB4501835 for Windows 10 Version 1809

Microsoft has now released the KB4501835 cumulative update for Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809) and Windows Server 2019. For more information, see KB4469068.

Updates the NLS registry to support the new Japanese Era. For more information, see KB4469068.

Addresses an issue that causes the DateTimePicker to display the date incorrectly in the Japanese date format. For more information, see KB4469068.

Addresses an issue that causes the Date and Time Settings control to cache old Eras and prevents the control from refreshing when the time enters the new Japanese Era. For more information, see KB4469068.

Updates fonts to support the new Japanese Era. For more information, see KB4469068.

Adds alternative fonts for the new Japanese Era fonts. For more information, see KB4469068.

Enables Text-To-Speech (TTS) functionality to support new Japanese Era characters. Superficially, the support of the new era, after intronization of the new Tenno, is improved in the traditional Japanese calendar by update. The update also fixes an issue with sleep mode on UEFI systems.

The update is offered via Windows Update, but is also available for installation via WSUS.
