Windows 10 22H2/Windows 11 23H2-25H2: Preview Updates (23./25./29 September 2025)

[English]Microsoft hat zum 23. September 2025 das optionale, kumulative (Vorschau-) Update KB5065790 für Windows 11 23H2 veröffentlicht. Für Windows 10 22H2 wurde das Preview Update KB50661989 erst zum 25. September 2025 freigegeben. Das Preview Update KB506578 für Windows 11 24H2 und 25H2 kam sogar erst zum 29. September 2025. Diese Preview Updates enthalten Korrekturen, die getestet werden können und die dann als Fixes im Folgemonat allgemein ausgerollt werden. So wird der SMBv1-Bug ausgemerzt.

Zu beachten ist, dass Preview- oder Vorschau-Updates standardmäßig manuell zum Download und zur Installation angestoßen werden müssen (wobei Windows 11 ab Version 22H2 Optionen zur automatischen Installation enthält).

Preview-Update KB5065789 für Windows 11 24H2/25H2

Die Liste der Updates für Windows 11 lässt sich auf dieser Microsoft-Seite einsehen. Für Windows 11 Version 24H2 sowie 25H2 wurde am 29. September das Preview-Update KB5065789 freigegeben. Microsoft spricht bei den Verbesserungen und Korrekturen von Highlights und einem Gradual Rollout (nicht für alle Nutzer verfügbar) sowie einem normalen Rollout (für alle Nutzer).​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

• [Hyper-V] Fixed: This update addresses an issue that affects starting Hyper-V virtual machines with Trusted Platform Module (TPM) on ARM64 devices running supported versions of Windows. This can occur after installing KB5064081.
• Fixed: Addresses an issue in File Explorer where tooltips in the Recent section displayed certain extended Unicode characters—such as Chinese characters from Extension B through Extension F and other four-byte characters—as square boxes or unreadable symbols.
• [Networking (known issue)]​​​​​​​ Fixed: This update addresses an issue where you might not be able to connect to shared files and folders if you're using the Server Message Block (SMB) v1 protocol on NetBIOS over TCP/IP NetBIOS (NetBT). This can happen after installing update KB5065426.
• [Servicing] Fixed: This update addresses an issue that disrupted Windows Update for customers using Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
• [Windows Hello] Fixed: This update addresses an issue that affects Windows Hello PIN setup with error 0x80090010 on devices joined to Microsoft Entra ID domains after installing Windows updates released on or after KB5060842.

Ergänzung: Das Update bewirkt, dass localhost bzw. der IIS nicht mehr funktioniert, siehe Windows 11 24H2/25H2: Localhost-Probleme nach Oktober 2025-Update KB5066835.

Preview-Update KB5065790 für Windows 11 23H2

Die Liste der Updates für Windows 11 lässt sich auf dieser Microsoft-Seite einsehen. Für Windows 11 Version 24H2 wurde bereits am 22. September 2025 das Out-of-Band-Update KB5068221 veröffentlicht (siehe Windows 11 24H2: Out-of-Band-Update KB5068221). Für Windows 11 Version 23H2 wurde zum 23. September 2025 das Preview-Update KB5065790 freigegeben. Microsoft gibt folgende Fixes für den normalen Rollout an:

• [Authentication] Fixed: An issue that caused Windows sign-in screen to stop responding after a user enters the SIM PIN during sign-in using a mobile broadband connection.
• [Browser] Fixed: This update addresses an issue that affects Microsoft Edge when running in Internet Explorer compatibility mode. It stops responding due to certain same-domain redirects.
• [Country and Operator Settings Asset (COSA)] Fixed: This update brings profiles up to date for certain mobile operators.
• [Display Kernel] Fixed: This update addresses an issue that affects display configuration changes during Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) sessions with multiple monitors. The system might shut down unexpectedly when disconnected from a docking station during a streaming session.
• [Input]  
  • Fixed: An issue where some characters didn't display correctly when using the Chinese Input Method Editor (IME).
  • Fixed:  This update addresses an issue where certain Chinese characters appeared as empty boxes in some text fields, such as those used in Connection Manager Administration Kit, when a character limit was set.
• [Networking (known issue)] Fixed: This update addresses an issue where you might not be able to connect to shared files and folders if you're using the Server Message Block (SMB) v1 protocol on NetBIOS over TCP/IP NetBIOS (NetBT). This can happen after installing update KB5065431.
• [Printer] Fixed: An issue where viewing the printer queue in Settings for a shared printer caused the Print Queue user interface to stop working.
• [System services and reliability] Fixed: Addresses an issue that caused McpManagement service to appear without a description on Windows.

Windows 10 Preview Update KB5066198

Die Informationen zu den Windows 10 Updates finden sich in der Windows 10 Update-History-Seite. Beim Update KB5066198 vom 25. September 2025 werden eine ganze Reihe an Korrekturen ausgerollt.

• [SMBv1 protocol connectivity (known issue)] Fixed: An issue where you might not be able to connect to shared files and folders if you're using the Server Message Block (SMB) v1 protocol on NetBIOS over TCP/IP NetBIOS (NetBT). This can happen after installing update KB5065429.
• [Autopilot Enrollment Status Page (ESP) (known issue)] Fixed: An issue when using Windows Autopilot to deploy Windows 10, version 22H2 to devices with the Enrollment Status Page (ESP) configured might find that the ESP doesn't load during the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE).

Das Update wird über Windows Update (bei einer Suche nach optionalen Updates) angeboten, lässt sich aber auch aus dem Microsoft Update Catalog herunterladen und installieren.
