I just let Thunderbird check for updates and got the update offered.
According to the release notes a number of minor bugs have been fixed. Within the new Thunderbird version there are still two known problems. CalDav access to some servers does not work. To remedy this you should set the setting network.cookie.same-site.enabled to false. When chatting, access to Twitter does not work because API changes have been made to Twitter.com.
The Thunderbird email client is available for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 and higher, for macOS 10.9 or higher and for Linux GTK+ 3.4 or higher. Details can be found here. Further information and downloads can be found on the Thunderbird website. (via)
