[German]The developers of the VLC Player have just released version 3.0.14 for Linux, macOS and Windows. After the somewhat "delayed" version 3.0.14, this is only a minimal maintenance update, which should fix bugs.

At the end of April 2021, the developers had released version 3.0.13 of the VLC player, but suspended its distribution due to a package error. Then, on May 10, 2021, the distribution of this correctly signed version began. But since a few hours version 3.0.14 is offered.
This version is also offered to me in the VLC player on Windows when searching for updates (version 3.0.13 still doesn't show up there). The change log on Github lists the following fixes.
Changes between 3.0.13 and 3.0.14: ---------------------------------- Core: * Fix double loading of slave input * Fix an issue causing the auto-updater not to launch the new version installer
But note: The upgrade you are doing will not launch the installer, because of a bug from the team. You will need to manually launch from your temp folder after the download. But the new player is also available on this website for operating systems like Linux, macOS, Windows and more. Be sure to download and install the new version. The latest version 3.0.14 is also available on the FTP servers. First complaints about a delay when switching between positions within a video can be found here (German).
