Problem: Slow or missing provision of purchase licenses in tenants by Microsoft

Paragraph[German]A quick question for the administrators in the blog readership who manage tenants in the Microsoft cloud. Have there been any problems recently with software purchase licenses not being displayed in the tenant or being displayed with a long delay?

A German blog reader informed me in a personal message on Facebook this week that there were probably problems with license management by Microsoft. The reader stated that he had purchased a license (perpetual license) for a product on behalf of a customer via his distributor (I assume a Cloud Service Partner, CSP). In a search, I found this article that outlines the license acquisition/transfer process – that should be what the reader used.

The problem: After two days, this license is still not visible in the customer's tenant, i.e. the products cannot be used. The reader wrote: "Currently Microsoft seems to have a problem displaying or providing purchase licenses in the tenant."

The reader states that the support department of his distributor's Microsoft department has confirmed that "there have already been several problems in this area". It probably does not concern subscription licenses but only purchased perpetual licenses.

In this forum post from September 2024, someone has the problem that they have no access at all to their licenses in the tenant. Question: Has anyone had similar experiences, or is this an isolated case?
