[German]A short addendum for administrators of Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 and 2019: Microsoft has already published so-called hotfix updates for the Exchange Server versions mentioned on May 29, 2025. The hotfixes from May 2025 do not contain any new Exchange Server security updates, but corrections for non-security-related problems.

A German blog reader pointed this out to me by email the other day, as he had only received these updates via WSUS on June 7, 2025. The whole thing had completely passed me by.
On May 29, 2025, Microsoft published the support article Released: May 2025 Exchange Server Hotfix Updates with the relevant information. Accordingly, the following were released:
Microsoft points out that a "known issue" was listed in some of the latest Exchange update versions. One of the issues addressed in this hotfix update is that the bug that Edge Transport service stops responding after installing the November 2024 SU has been fixed. If administrators have been able to work around this issue in the past, please note that a manual action is required to remove the blockage (described in the KB).
