Microsoft has already updated its template files (Administrative Templates, ADMX/ADML files) for Microsoft Office 2016 and higher to version 5506.1000 on May 29, 2025. The template files contain the group policies for managing Microsoft Office.
I was informed of this update to version 5506.1000 by blog reader Detlef H. on July 4, 2025 (thanks for that). Microsoft offers the "Group Policy Administrative Template files (ADMX/ADML) for Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise, Office LTSC 2024, Office LTSC 2021, Office 2019, and Office 2016 and also includes the OPAX/OPAL files for the Office Customization Tool (OCT) for Office 2016" for download on this page.
