[German]VMware by Broadcom has just released Vmware Tools 13.0.0 build 24696409. The package also contains updates to the versions of OpenSSL 3.0.15, 7zip 24.09 and uriparser 0.9.7.

Broadcom continues to limit downloads for direct links to installers. For example, the URL softwareupdate.broadcom.com/cds stored in the player does not have a successful lookup. An update in the program is therefore not possible and a manual download via the customer login is required. This was already evident during the takeover of previous player and workstation versions:

Basically, the above-mentioned tool update URLs currently resolve to the same IPs. There is simply no destination or redirection for updates from Workstation or Player. The behavior seems to be desired without a token or prior login to Broadcom.
