Since 2009 Google has had the website goo.gl, which can be used as a link shortener. I've always enjoyed using this service, I was able to match the short links to my Google Account.
But as of today, March 30, 2018, the warning shown within the above screenshot appears (we were lucky that the message did not appear tomorrow, then many contemporaries would have thought of an April joke).
From April 13, 2018, only existing users can use the service to shorten links. As of March 30, 2019, this function will then be switched off. Existing links are still supported until the shutdown date – i.e. if he calls a short link, he is forwarded to the corresponding URL. In this blog post, Google comments on this topic.
