The apology may be found in a message on lkml.org to the kernel developers. The message is also about the just released Linux 4.19 rc4 kernel and several other things. Included in the text is an apology to all the developers who have been treated in a rude way by Torvalds over the last few years. On Twitter someone has pulled out the corresponding text passage.
I'm proud of Linus Torvalds for admitting that he's acted like an asshole for years and I'm proud of him for taking responsibility and ownership of his words and actions. This is hard to do. Now show us you mean it moving forward.https://t.co/sLyXf9l7nP pic.twitter.com/TgFuW5p253
