Microsoft has released on April 18, 2019, (beside Windows 10 Version 1903) the final version of the .NET Framework 4.8 as well.

.NET Framework 4.8 builds on previous versions of the .NET Framework 4.x by adding many new fixes and several new features while remaining a very stable product. A description of the new features can be found here.
..NET Framework 4.8 can be installed on Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 7 SP1, and the corresponding server platforms starting with Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. You can install .NET Framework 4.8 by using either the web installer or the offline installer.
