Microsoft Office Patchday (February 2, 2021)

[German]On February 2, 2021 (first Tuesday of the month, Office Patchday), Microsoft released several non-security updates for versions of Microsoft Office that are still supported. Surprisingly, updates for Office 2010, which has already been unsupported since October 2020, are also included. Here's a brief overview.

The updates apply to the installable MSI version of Office and are delivered via Windows Update. Click-to-run packages will receive the updates through other channels. For this reason, Office 2019 no longer appears in the list below, where only click-to-run installers are available. Microsoft lists the updates on this page (last time I checked, they weren't documented).

Office 2016

The packages are automatically distributed via Windows Update, but can also be downloaded and installed manually via the linked KB articles.

  • Update for Microsoft Outlook 2016 (KB4493190)
  • Update for Microsoft PowerPoint 2016 (KB4493164)

The following two updates are available for Microsoft Office 2013

  • Update for Microsoft Office 2013 (KB4486684)
  • Update for Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 (KB4493169)

Office 2010

Office 2010 has been out of supported since October 2020, but also received two maintenance updates in February 2020.

  • Update for Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 (KB4493179)
