[German]The developers of the Thunderbird email client have released Thunderbird 78.13.0 on August 10, 2021. This is a maintenance and security update for the 78 development branch that should fix several bugs and vulnerabilities.

I have already been noticed to this update by blog readers (thanks for that). According to the release notes, several fixes and improvements have been made.

- WeTransfer FileLink provider removed
- The fix for bug 1707360 from Thunderbird 78.12.0 was removed because it caused regressions
- Fix: Chat account settings were not always saved as expected
- Fix: OpenPGP: GPG smartcard libraries from Homebrew are not found on M1 Macs
As a known issue, the developers list that sending an email with HTML links with spaces in the URL sometimes results in broken links. According to this page, the update fixes some security vulnerabilities that are rated as high.
