[German]The developers of the Thunderbird email client released Thunderbird 91 a week ago (only available as a download and not as an update). Now a maintenance and security update to version 91.0.1 has been released as of August 17, 2021.

According to the release notes, various fixes and improvements have been made. For example, an issue was fixed that caused OTR chat encryption to fail on 32-bit Windows builds. According to this page, the update fixes a security vulnerability rated as high.

- Windows: Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 or higher
- Mac: Mac OS X 10.9 or higher
- Linux: GTK+ 3.14 or higher
