Prices for Office 2021 announced

[German]Microsoft has announced the availability of Office 2021 and Microsoft 365, as well as the pricing for these packages and subscriptions. Microsoft Office 2021 one-time license packages are scheduled to go live on October 5.

The announcement by Liat Ben-Zur, corporate vice president, Modern Life, Search, and Device,s can be found on the Microsoft 365 blog. Microsoft 365 and Office 2021 (Office Home & Student 2021 and Office Home & Business 2021) are scheduled to be generally available on October 5, 2021. 

Microsoft 365 includes premium versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, OneDrive, Microsoft Editor and Microsoft Family Safety for PC, Mac and mobile devices, and Access and Publisher for PC.

  • For individuals, Microsoft 365 Personal costs $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year.
  • For families and households of up to six people, Microsoft 365 Family costs $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year.

Subscribers will automatically receive visual app updates starting Oct. 5 and will receive Microsoft Teams in October and November.

  • Office Home and Student 2021 costs $149.99 USD and includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Microsoft Teams for PC and Mac.
  • Office Home and Business 2021 costs $249.99 USD and includes everything in Office Home and Student 2021, plus Outlook for PC and Mac and rights to use the apps for business purposes.

Microsoft Office 2021 can be purchased worldwide in stores and via Microsoft.com from October 5, 2021. Both Microsoft 365 and Office 2021 run on Windows 11, Windows 10 and the three latest versions of macOS. A Microsoft account and an Internet connection are required to use Microsoft 365 or Office 2021. Microsoft also notes that Office 2013 is no longer supported on Windows 11.
