[German]The developers of the Thunderbird email client have released Thunderbird 91.6.2 on March 5, 2022. It is a security update for the 91 development branch, which fixes two vulnerabilities.

I had already pointed out on March 5 in the post Firefox 97.0.2 and 91.6.1 ESR released – critical security fixes, that there are critical vulnerabilities in the Mozilla browsers. For the Thunderbird there was still no release notes at that time. Now, however, an update for the mail client has been offered now. According to the Thunderbird Release Notes, the update includes the following corrections (fixes).
Temporary files from opened attachments were saved with world-readable permission
In addition, the critical vulnerabilities mentioned in the article Firefox 97.0.2 and 91.6.1 ESR released – critical security fixes erwähnten kritischen Schwachstellen were also fixed for Thunderbird.
