Firefox 113.0.1 fixes Windows 11 bug

Mozilla[German]Mozilla's developers had released version 113.0 of Firefox with some new features on May 9, 2023. On May 12, 2023, the maintenance update to version 113.0.1 had to be released, which is supposed to fix bugs.

Firefox 113.0 is a new development branch, version 113.0.1 is a maintenance update that brings the fixes listed below, according to the rekease notes.

  • Fixed incorrect colors for Windows users with installed monitor/display color profiles, particularly on wide gamut displays (bug 1832215)
  • Fixed borders being visible around fullscreen windows for some configurations (bug 1830721)
  • Fixed an issue which may cause users in some configurations to experience tearing when watching videos in fullscreen mode (bug 1830792)

Firefox should update itself automatically, but can be downloaded from this website for various platforms (choose the variant from the list boxes that appear).

    I find it strange that one of the more pronounced bugs is apparently not even on the radar of Firefox development. Namely, use of PDFs in the browser's default reader causes it to crash frequently, particularly when using the scroll function.
