[German]Microsoft has updated the Edge browser in the stable channel to version 118.0.2088.69 on October 24, 2023 (thanks to the reader for pointing this out). The release notes say "fixed various bugs and performance issues". However, it is a feature update to the browser at the same time.

In the release notes, it says that Designer (as a preview, preview) has been introduced in the Microsoft Edge sidebar. Designer is a new AI system from Microsoft that generates visual, customizable designs based on users' text descriptions and images.
Administrators can manage sidebar apps, including the Designer (Preview) icon, by using the guidelines described in Managing the sidebar in Microsoft Edge. The ID for the Designer (Preview) app is 2cb2db96-3bd0-403e-abe2-9269b3761041.
All Microsoft Edge users with manifest version 4.8.5 or later (users can view their version using edge://sidebar-internals), including those on managed devices, can now add the Designer (Preview) app to the Edge sidebar by clicking the "+" and setting the Designer (Preview) button to "on".
With the Designer preview, users will be able to use Microsoft Designer's generative AI features within the Edge browser. This version will be available in English but only for the countries/regions of Australia, India, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States.
