Classic Teams for Virtual Desktop: End of support on June 30, 2024

TeamsA couple of days ago, Microsoft has announced the general availability of the new Teams app for virtual desktop infrastructure. Now Microsoft has published, that they are is discontinuing support for the Classic Teams client for the Virtual Desktop as of June 30, 2024.

In a tech community post Announcing general availability of the new Microsoft Teams app for virtual desktop infrastructure, Microsoft has announced the general availability of the Teams client for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) on December 5, 2023. The new Teams app in VDI should have the same features as the classic Teams app and also offer improved performance, reliability and security.

Classic Teams support ends 2024

Now I came across this tweet that Microsoft is discontinuing support for the Classic Teams client for the Virtual Desktop as of June 30, 2024.
