Windows 10: Microsoft opens beta channel for insiders

Windows[German]Microsoft has surprisingly opened the Windows 10 beta channel for Windows Insiders. The reason given for this is that they want to actively work with Windows Insiders on the development of functions. The beta channel is open to Windows Insiders who are currently using Windows 10. Participation allows Microsoft to test new features for Windows 10, version 22H2, with Insiders before they are released to all Windows 10 customers.

Anyone who is still active in the Windows Insider Program and has Windows 10 installed and wants to try out new features for Windows 10 should switch to the beta channel, Microsoft writes in this post from June 4, 2024. This can be done by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program, clicking on the current Insider Channel selection, and selecting the Beta Channel from the list of Insider Channels.

The "hook" about this Microsoft offer: This switch is only possible for Windows Insiders on a Windows 10 PC that meets the minimum system requirements for Windows 11. Further details can be found in Microsoft's blog post Opening the Beta Channel for Windows Insiders on Windows 10.
