Does the download of Windows VMs for testing still work for you?

[German]Microsoft has been offering virtual machines with Windows for developers to test for years. These VMs contain a version of Windows that can run for 90 days. I have now received a note from a reader that the content is no longer available "due to technical difficulties" since October 2024.

I had occasionally reported on this possibility here in the blog (see Windows 11 24H2: Evaluation ISO images released). The VM images in question were available via the Microsoft Evaluation Center.

Now Tobias has contacted BlueSky with the above post and writes that the content is no longer available due to technical problems since October 23, 2024 (can be found as an insert on the Windows 11 download page). I tried to dig through the Microsoft pages in the Evaluation Center to download a Windows 10 ISO. The whole thing is very slow and at the end of the day I end up on a page where I have to enter my contact details in order to get the VM. I stopped at this point. Has anyone from the readership managed to download a file from the download area recently?
