Update KB5066683 is a dynamic update that can be downloaded during setup. It is designed to improve the binary files used by Windows Setup or all files used by Setup for feature updates in Windows 11, version 24H2, and Windows Server 2025. The dynamic update released on September 29, 2025, is only requested during setup and is not available via Windows Update. However, it can be downloaded from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
Windows 11 24H2/Server 2025 Update KB5066683
Update KB5066687 is also a dynamic update designed to improve the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) in Windows 11 version 24H2 and Windows Server 2025.
