Windows 7/8.1-Update: What to expect from October onwards

From October 2016 on, Microsoft is moving the update delivery for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 to an Rollup update model. Today is Patch Tuesday, so it's time to have an overview, what to expect now and in future.
