[German]Google's Pixel 2 (and Pixel XL) are flag ships and reference for modern Android smartphones, available since October 19, 2017. But it's 'made by Google' – means hefty price, but stingy equipment.

The Google Pixel 2 comes with a 5 inch OLED display, fingerprint sensor, stereo front speakers, 4 GB RAM and 64 or 128 GB memory. The camera receives very good ratings, the battery can be charged within 15 minutes via a quick charge function to such an extent that it lasts for up to 7 hours of operation.

High priced, but no earphones
The new smartphone starts with a hefty price of 799 euro for the variant with 64 GB RAM. However, Pixel 2 does not have an SD card slot, nor dual SIM card slot nor 3.5mm audio jack for an earphone. Google adds a USB C to jack adapter to its Pixel 2 box, but it won't ship an earphone at all (although this seems to be originally planned).
Lukas Everett got an early version of Pixel 2 at Verizon, where her found an usb-c-to-3.5mm-jack adapter and a spare hole for an earphone in the packaging. Also in a booklet an earphone was mentioned to be shipped with the Pixel 2. He tweeted about that.

At first he thought it was a packing error and wanted to complain. In the Verizon store, where he had bought the device, he was told that no box within the lot contained such an earphone.
At Android Police thee is a image showing the packaging material shipped with Pixel 2. The packaging material only contains an USB C to jack adapter. Google has removed the earphone. That seems a fail weighting a price of 799 up to 909 Euro for a Pixel 2.
