Official source for Surface recovery image downloads

Microsoft provides an official download source for Microsoft Surface recovery images. So, if your Windows 8.1 recovery or restore function becomes corrupt, there is a way, to recover from this issue.

I haven't a Microsoft Surface, therefore I was stumbling by accident over this possibility – and I thought, it will be a good idea to share it within my blog. My MVP colleague Richard Hay has the story within his blog WindowsObserver.com. It's sufficient, to login to this Microsoft site, using your Surface`s Microsoft account.

After selecting your Surface model, the devices serial number is required. Afterward you should be able to download the recovery image. Further details may be obtained here.
