I became aware of this fact through a tweet of @PhantomofMobile. Apparently Microsoft reacted to a problem in SCCM V1803 and 1810.

If you are affected by this error in Configuration Manager 1810, you can install Update Rollup 4486457 for the System Center Configuration Manager Current Branch, Version 1810, under Updates and Servicing. This updates the Configuration Manager client to version 5.00.8740.1031.
