April is already a few days old. Nevertheless, here are the figures for the operating system and Windows distribution on the desktop at the end of March 2019.

If you look at the latest figures from netmarketshare.com (until the end of March 2019), Windows still runs at 87.49 (Feb. 2019: 87.43%) of desktop systems. Mac OS comes to 9.92% (Feb. 9.69%), while Linux runs 2.10% (Feb. 2.11%) of the systems.

In the analysis of the distribution according to individual operating system versions, NetMarketShare issues the following shares for the desktop operating systems at the end of March 2019:
- Windows 10 has 43.62% (previous month 40.30%),
- Windows 7 is at 36.52% (previous month 38.41%),
- Windows 8.1 has 4.13 % (previous month 4.37 %),
- macOS 10.13 has 2.23 % (previous month 2.26 %)..
Windows 10 grew also in March 2019. It will be exciting to watch what happens in the coming months. After all, support for Windows 7 will expire in January 2020 (only companies can renew for a fee).
