Tablet PCs market is rather difficult, people don't buy the stuff anymore. Google has therefore announced to give up its commitment to developing its own Tablet PC models.

It's been two years since it's been emerging since no new products are coming. Now I've just stumbled across a tweet by Tom Warren that takes up the topic again.

The message: Google's HARDWARE team will focus exclusively on building laptops, so we are taking a step forward. Tablet PCs at Google have thus died. Only the Android & Chrome OS teams will continue their long-term cooperation with Google's partners on tablets for all market segments (consumers, companies, Edu). Rick Osterloh, who posted the info, is SVP, Devices & Services, at Google. What do you think about this topic?
