[German]Apple seems to have a problem and is silent. Since the market launch of the new iPhone 11, owners of this device have noticed that its display is probably extremely scratch-sensitive.

In the Apple forum there is a longer thread, which began on September 25, 2019, when the owner of two new iPhone 11 devices complained about their scratch sensitivity.

Phone 11 screen scratches

my wife and me have put our brand new iphones 11 inside our pocket pants and both screens get scratched the second day of use (mines right in the selfie camera, apple says "without mal function"…). Has someone experimented somethg similar? We are really dissapointed, apple only cares if you have bought "apple care"….we cant use the screen without a protection: worst screen ever…

He wrote, that two new devices already had display scratches after one day, although the new iPhone 11 was only carried in the trouser pocket. After this post, other affected people also complained about the scratch sensitivity of the new iPhone models. A user posted this photo, which shows such a scratch on the display.

The thread in the Apple forum now is 74 pages long and other users have sent photos of scratched displays. It really looks like that some iPhone 11 devices are extremely scatch sensitive. There are voices saying that you have to use a screen protector. But experienced iPhone users say that this didn't happen with any of the previous models. In the meantime, there are further sources in the Appl forum or at YouTube, where the problem of display scratches on the iPhone 11 is discussed. German magazine Golem suspects that the surface treatment of the display could be flawed, as the editors cannot determine the problem in the test model. Apple has not yet commented on the problem. Any of you affected?
