In the comments German blog reader deoroller  has pointed out that the version 78.0.1 should follow shortly for bug fixing. But in the  release notes are still not refreshed and doesn't contain deatils. There it says about version 78.0.1:

We're still preparing the notes for this release, and will post them here when they are ready. Please check back later.

The Gereman colleagues at deskmodder.de report here that Firefox 78.0.1 has been released in the standard and esr channel to fixes a bug in the search engines. Because in Firefox 78 (esr) there is a bug, preventing the selection of the search engines which is no longer displayed. Also the automatic completion in the address line does not work according to deskmodder.de. This should be fixed in version 78.0.1.

My German article receive a user feedback, saying that installing this update removed settings, bookmarks and add-ons. Anybody with a similar observation?
