Firefox ESR 78.3.0 can be unable to install the update, forcing the user to download the version 78.3.1 installer. I cannot say what the cause seems to be but I have a notion that older slower hardware might be a factor. I have seen the same update done on recent hardware without any problems.
Firefox 81.0.2 recently released 10/12 – release notes will be posted shortly (maybe by this Mon. afternoon)
