[German]Microsoft has just announced that Windows 10 version 1909 and version 2004 are ready for distribution via Windows Update. When a machine is updated, the feature update gets itself on the build in question.

Previously, feature updates to one of the Windows 10 successor builds were only offered if the user manually initiated a check for updates via Windows Update. Only if an upgrade stop was set by Microsoft due to incompatible hardware or software, no upgrade was offered. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, Microsoft probably didn't really push all this.
Now, however, action is needed because Windows 10 version 1903 is out of support in December 2020. And Windows 10 version 1909 will reach the end of support on May 11, 2021 for the Home, Pro, Pro Education and Pro for Workstation versions. Only the Education and Enterprise variants will receive support until May 11, 2022.
Rollout for Windows 10 Version 1909/2004 via Update
It appears Microsoft has largely fixed the upgrade stoppers for Windows 10 versions 1909 and 2004. I was alerted by EP in this comment to the information (thanks for that) that Windows 10 version 1909 and 2004 were ready for the broader rollout via Windows Update. However, I had also seen this on various websites. On the status page of Windows 10 version 1909, there is the following addition as of February 3, 2021:
Current status as of February 3, 2021
Windows 10, version 1909 is designated ready for broad deployment for all users via Windows Update. The recommended servicing status is Semi-Annual Channel.
And for Windows 10 version 2004, there is this addition on the Windows 10 version 2004 status page:
Current status as of February 3, 2021
Windows 10, version 2004 is designated for broad deployment. The recommended servicing status is Semi-Annual Channel.
Both Windows 10 builds also have the status for distribution in the Semi-Annual Channel, so they can be used in corporate environments. On the linked status page, you can also find a list of the problems that have been fixed in the last 30 days.
