[German]The developers of Thunderbird have released another update to the email client on August 9, 2022 (just hours after the previous version). It withdraws a feature to show progress when retrieving pop mails.

Thunderbird 102.1.2
According to the Thunderbird release notes, this version only contains the following bug fix:
Fix for bug 1777765 (no POP download progress bar) was removed from this release to fix incorrect download of POP messages when only "Fetch headers" was selected in the account settings (bug 1783552).
The update is only available for the 102 branch, the older 91 versions of Thunderbird are not updated. Somehow the 102 development branch degenerates to a "shooting gallery for bugs" – everywhere you touch, you meet bugs. The system requirements for the different operating system versions (see here for more details):
- Windows: Windows 7 or higher
- Mac: Mac OS X 10.12 or higher
- Linux: GTK+ 3.14 or higher
