[German]Mozilla's developers have released versions 105.0.3 of the Firefox browser on October 7, 2022. It is a maintenance update, which had to be added within a few days, because there were crashes with AVAST or AVG virus protection.
I'll post it briefly – since it was mentioned by blog readers in various places (thanks for that). According to the release notes, the update only brings the following fixes:
Frequent crashes for Windows users with Avast or AVG antivirus software installed have been fixed (bug 1794064)
So it is the old problem that the antivirus software and browser interfere with each other. Firefox should update itself automatically, but it can be checked for new versions via the Help menu and About Firefox. In addition, the browser can be downloaded from this website for various platforms (the variant is to be selected via the list boxes displayed).
