iOS/iPadOS 16.1.1 released

[German]Apple has released iOS/iPadOS 16.1.1 for newer iPhone and iPad models on November 9, 2022. It is a security and maintenance update that is supposed to fix a WLAN problem.  Thanks to Gerold for the tip.

Apple says about the bug fixes and security fixes in iOS 16.1.1 and iPadOS 16.1.1:

  • libxml2: Available for: iPhone 8 and later, iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 3rd generation and later, iPad 5th generation and later, and iPad mini 5th generation and later
    Impact: A remote user may be able to cause unexpected app termination or arbitrary code execution
    Description: An integer overflow was addressed through improved input validation.
    CVE-2022-40303: Maddie Stone of Google Project Zero

The colleagues from deskmodder.de writes here, that the update is also supposed to fix a WLAN problem, because it is said to have caused connection drops in iOS 16.1.
