Thunderbird 102.9.1

[German]The developers of Thunderbird have released another update of the email client to version 102.9.1 on March 28, 2023. It is a bug fix and security update, which should eliminate vulnerabilities.

According to the Thunderbird release notes, the following changes were made in this version:

  • Thunderbird could not open file URLs from the command line (URLs starting with "file://").
  • Source files for localized builds were not uploaded to FTP as expected.

In addition, visual and thematic improvements were made and various vulnerabilities, some rated as high, were fixed (see here). The system requirements for the various operating system versions (see here for more details):

  • Windows: Windows 7 or higher
  • Mac: Mac OS X 10.12 or higher
  • Linux: GTK+ 3.14 or higher
