[German]Brief note for administrators of Citrix Workspace App 2203: Build 2203 of the Citrix Workspace App in question seems to cause high resource utilization and thus performance problems under Windows. [Addendum: It's not clear to me, if version 2203 LTSC is affected, or if it's a typo and it affects 2303. I use 2203 here, in accordance with Citrix`support post.] The reason is probably due to the webview component of Edge (MSEdgewebview2). Citrix has suggested a workaround, but it is only applicable in certain scenarios.

MSEdgewebview2 is Microsoft's sound time environment that is delivered via the Microsoft Edge browser. MSEdgewebview2 can be used by software to run around web content in native applications. The component is automatically provided with updates by Microsoft.
MSEdgewebview2 causes performance issues
Users of Citrix Workspace App 2203 are experiencing performance issues on Windows, as Thorsten communicates in the following tweet.
Citrix published the support article Performance issue due to MSEdgewebview2 high resource use in Workspace App 2203. This is due to Msedgewebview2 running as a child process of Citrix selfservice.exe and using a high level of system resources. If this component is not needed, it can be disabled as a workaround. To do this, open the registry editor on the Windows client via Run as administrator. Then navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Citrix\Dazzle
The key is used by the Workspace app. Find the value EdgeChromiumEnabled and set it to false. This will then disable the use of the component. However, Citrix writes that you should only do this if authentication methods such as FIDO2, Windows Hello or Azure AD are not used.

If MSEdgewebview is required, it is recommended to open a case with Citrix support rather than disabling it. For more details, see the support article Performance issue due to MSEdgewebview2 high resource use in Workspace App 2203.
