Microsoft Store for Business: Will be removed in May 2023

Windows[German]Small reminder for administrators who still use the "Microsoft Store for Business". As of May 2023, this will be removed from Windows 10 and Windows 11. However, the whole thing should no longer have any impact, because the "Windows Store for Business", which was announced with fanfare in 2015 and affects enterprise environments, had already been discontinued in the summer of 2022.

I had July 2022 already pointed out in the blog post Windows Store for Business dies in Q1 2023. At the time, Microsoft had announced this information in the Techcommunity post Evolving the Microsoft Store for Business and Education and set March 31, 2023. Later it said the date was postponed.

At Dr. Windows I read that Microsoft will now remove the Store app from Windows 10 and Windows 11 (in the business versions) starting mid-May 2023. Martin probably got this information from the Microsoft 365 Admincenter (Message ID MC543773). However, this should hardly have any impact anymore, since the Store was probably not used in the corporate environment, right?
