[German]The end of support for Windows 10 is coming in October 2025, so we're back to Microsoft's popular game of showing Windows 10 users "ads" as a full-screen display to show them what great alternatives Microsoft has to offer. But the full-screen ads that Windows 10 is out of support and you should switch are probably not yet available.

At the beginning of the year, I mentioned in the blog post Windows 10: Microsoft shows new annoying pop-up to upgrade to Windows 11 that Microsoft displays so-called "nag screens" for users prompting them to upgrade to Windows 11. The background to this is that support for Windows 10 will expire for most users in October 2024.
Currently Microsoft's marketing seems to be pursuing more subtle methods to bring Windows 10 users to Windows 11. The colleagues from neowin.net have taken up the topic recently in the article here and write that more users are now somehow being maltreated with full-screen ads.
It links to the ArsTechnica article Microsoft pushes full-screen ads for Copilot+ PCs on Windows 10 users, in which full-screen ads that are intended to make Copilot PCs with Windows 11 appealing to users were discussed.
The screenshot above refers to the end of support for Windows 10 and its successor Windows 11. There doesn't seem to be a button to decline – the classic Microsoft approach to harassing people.

Neowin.net refers to other social media posts such as the above tweet by Justin Whang, who received an advertisement for Windows Backup including a reference to the end of support for Windows 10 as a full screen while working and was accordingly pissed off. Neowin.net lists further posts, such as this tweet, where "Windows 11 do more" is intended to influence users. This post also quotes an annoying full-screen pop-up referring to the end of Windows 10 support.
Needless to say, even for home users there is a one-year support extension for Windows 10 for 30 US dollars (see also my article Windows 10: Surprise, there is an ESU support extension; also for private users and the article Microsoft wants 30 US-$ for 1 year Windows 10 consumer support extension).
