Exchange 2019 CU15 and updating server certificates

Exchange Logo[German]Two weeks ago, Microsoft released CU15 for its Exchange Server 2019. A blog reader contacted me yesterday because he came across a nice change during testing. Server certificates can now (again) be updated directly via GUI – the recourse to PowerShell required with CU14 is no longer necessary.

Daniel M. wrote in an email "I just noticed something nice after the update from Exchange 2019 CU14 to CU15". It is now possible to renew the server certificates in the Exchange Admin Center with a click of the mouse instead of using PowerShell scripts as before, the reader wrote.

The screenshot above also contains the instruction to use a cmdlet to renew the certificate. After CU15 is installed on Exchange 2019, the display will look like this:

Daniel said: "This could certainly be interesting for the community" – thanks for pointing this out, but more people are probably already aware of it.
