Patchday: Microsoft Office Updates (March 10 2026)

Update[German]On March 10, 2026 (the second Tuesday of the month, Microsoft Patch Day), Microsoft released several security updates for Microsoft Office. This month, serious vulnerabilities in Excel were fixed (see also the blog post Microsoft Security Update Summary (March 10, 2026)). Below are a few information about the available updates.

An overview of the updates can be found on this website (and here for this month). Details are documented in the linked KB articles. The updates are available for the installable MSI version of Microsoft Office (the Click-to-Run packages obtain the updates through other channels).

Microsoft Office 2019/2021/2024 does not appear in the list because it is distributed via Click-to-Run packages and receives security updates via the Office Update feature.

Microsoft Office 2016 and Microsoft Office 2019 are no longer supported. However, Microsoft has released security updates this month. In the future, the 0patch solution will continue to help (see 0patch sichert Microsoft Office 2016 und 2019 nach Oktober 2025).

Office 2016

The following security updates have been released for Microsoft Office 2016.

Details about the Office updates and the direct download addresses for the updates can be found in the linked KB articles.

More can be read at my German blog post [use build in translation]. If in doubt, details on the above updates can be found in the respective Microsoft KB articles.
