Microsoft hat bereits zum 23. März 2026 ein Hotfix-Update für Nutzer von Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024 bereitgestellt. Dieses soll Anmeldeprobleme an Microsoft-Konten beheben, welches vom Update KB5079473 vom 10. März 2026 verursacht wurden. Es ist wohl das Hotfix-Pendant zum Out-of-Band-Update KB5085516.
Rückblick auf das Anmeldeproblem
Nach der Installation des am 10. März 2026 veröffentlichten Windows-Update KB5079473 für Windows 11 24H2-25H2 gab es Berichte, dass die Anmeldung an Microsoft-Konten bei einigen Microsoft-Anwendungen (Excel, Word, OneDrive, Teams Free etc.) fehl schlagen kann.
Ich hatte dieses Problem nach einem Leserhinweis zum 19. März 2026 im Beitrag Anmeldung in Microsoft Teams Free und anderen Apps scheitert (19.3.2026) hier im Blog aufgegriffen und mich dabei auf die Bestätigung Microsofts (siehe Microsoft account sign ins might fail for Microsoft Teams Free and other apps) bezogen. Microsoft hatte angegeben, dass man an einem Fix arbeite.
Korrektur durch Windows 11 Sonderupdate KB5085518
Bereits zum 21. März 2026 wurde das Out-of-Band-Update KB5085516 für Windows 11 24H2-25H2 veröffentlicht, welches das obige Anmeldeproblem korrigieren soll. Ich hatte im Blog-Beitrag Windows 11: Out-Band-Update KB5085516 fixt Anmeldeprobleme berichtet.
Nun lese ich hier, dass Microsoft zum 23. März 2025 noch das Hotpatch-Update KB5085518 für Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024 veröffentlicht hat. Im Support-Beitrag heißt es:
Microsoft account sign in] Fixed: After you install the Windows update released on or after March 10, 2026, some users might experience an issue signing in to apps with a Microsoft account. Even when the device has a working Internet connection, a "no Internet" error appears during sign in and prevents access to Microsoft services and apps such as Microsoft Teams Free and OneDrive.
Das ist aber die identische Information wie beim Out-of-Band-Update KB5085516 für Windows 11 24H2-25H2. Jetzt wird das Hotfix-Update für Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC 2024 freigegeben. Der Hotpatch wird nach der Installation ohne Neustart wirksam. Microsoft weist darauf hin, dass das obige Problem nur Microsoft-Konten (nicht Microsoft Entra IDs) betrifft. Das Anmeldeproblem sollte dann also auf auf der LTSC-Plattform behoben sein.
