Google has released a security bulletin for Android at July 6, 2016, addressing the newest security flaws. Patches for supported Google Nexus devices will be rolled out within the next days. Also Samsung rolls out some security updates for his Android flag ships.

Android Security Bulletin July 2016
Android Security Bulletin July 2016 describes two security patch level strings; 2016-07-01 a partial security patch level string dealing with all issues associated 2016-07-01; and 2016-07-05 complete security patch level string. This security patch level string indicates that all issues associated 2016-07-01 and 2016-07-05 are addressed.
Both security patch level strings addresses a long list of vulnerabilities in Android. Several patches addresses vulnerabilities in Media-Server (associated with the stagefright security desaster). Other patches addresses Bluetooth, libpng, OpenSSL, Framework APIs, Sockets, NFC, Qualcomm and MediaTek drivers and proxy auto configuration.
Samsung also rolls out a security update
Samsung also decided to roll out a July 2016 security update for their flash ships, closing 8 flaws. Further details may be found here.
