Microsoft has released on June 6, 2017 another firmware update for Microsoft Surface Pro 3. This updates UEFI and also the Embedded Controller Firmware.

The Controller Firmware Update shall improve battery live during sleep, whilst the UEFI update improves network (PXE) boot via IPv6. There is no mention of new Firmware addressing Microsoft new pen.
