I reported this issues last weekend within my blog post Is (Windows RT) Windows Store partially down?. Some users of Windows RT 8.1 machines are receiving a message from Windows Store, that 'This version of Windows is no longer supported by Windows Store.'

Some users interpreted this message in a way, that Microsoft has deactivated the Windows Store for Windows RT devices. But this isn't true. First of all, not all users of a Windows RT device are affected. And also users of other devices (Windows 8.1) are facing Windows Store issues. Now a user at this reddit.com forum thread reported an Answer from Microsoft:

Answer from Microsoft (8/21/2017 9:33:16 AM): This is a known bug in Surface RT running Windows 8.1. Our Support Engineers are currently looking into it and are doing their best to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We'll keep you updated via this thread once a fix has been released.

So it seems to be an technical issue – but I have no clue yet to fix that flaw. Update: It seems that the issue has been fixed – see Windows (RT) 8.1: Is the Windows Store outage fixed?
