At the end of March 2019, Microsoft released driver updates for the ambient light sensor for the Surface Laptop and the Surface Laptop 2. There is also a cumulative firmware and driver update for Surface Studio 2.

For Surface Laptop 1, the Surface – System – 4.1.139.0 driver is updated to increase system stability. Also mentioned is the 'Surface Intersil Ambient Light Sensor (HID) – System devices'. Walking Cat has pointed out these updates on Twitter .

For Surface Studio 2, the drivers are not yet listed in the update history (the overview has stopped on Nov. 2018). On this website Microsoft offers a cumulative firmware update of 497.2 MB with date March 28, 2019.
