Security update Chrome 76.0.3809.100

Google has released a security update to Chrome 76.0.3809.100 on August 6, 2019. This update fixes a vulnerability that would have allowed the adoption of a system.

Google only released Chrome 76 at the end of July 2019 (see Google released Chrome 76). But there was probably a security hole, at least the US-CERT informs about the update.

This release fixes a vulnerability that an attacker could exploit to take control of an affected system. The release notes even list four fixed vulnerabilities.

Chrome version 76.0.3809.100 is available for Windows, Mac and Linux and will be rolled out via the automatic updatein the coming days. The download is possible here.
