[German]he provider Zoom has just attracted attention because its iOS app for web and video conferencing transferred data to Facebook. As soon as it became known, the provider removed the corresponding framework from the app.

Zoom Video Communications s a US company based in San Jose, California. It offers remote conferencing services that combine video conferencing, online meetings, chat and mobile collaboration. Recently Vice reported in this article that the Zoom iOS app sends data to Facebook even when users don't have a Facebook account. Zoom's privacy policy doesn't say anything about how data is sent to Facebook.

Yesterday I already noticed a change on Twitter via the above mail. Zoom has revised the code so that it no longer transmits data to Facebook. There is an update available for the iOS app, which now no longer sends data to Facebook.
